Sentinel Line Support

Location-based app protection

Sentinel Line helps you protect selected apps based on your location. It uses Apple's Family Controls and Core Location technologies to automatically protect or unprotect selected apps when you enter or leave a Safety Zone.

Getting Started

  1. Allow Location access and select Always when prompted.
  2. Allow Family Controls / Apps & Websites access when requested.
  3. Create a Safety Zone around a location.
  4. Select the apps you want Sentinel Line to protect.
  5. Save the Safety Zone.

How Protection Works

Inside a Safety Zone:
Selected apps remain available.

Outside a Safety Zone:
Selected apps are automatically protected.

Returning to a Safety Zone:
Protection is automatically removed.

Troubleshooting

Location-based protection is not working

Make sure Location Services are enabled and that Sentinel Line has permission to access your location Always.

You can check this in:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Sentinel Line

Apps cannot be selected

Make sure Family Controls permission has been authorized when requested by Sentinel Line.

Protection does not change immediately

Location-based protection depends on Apple's Core Location and Family Controls system services. The system may take some time to process a location change, particularly when the app is running in the background.

Privacy

Sentinel Line does not collect personal information or transmit your Safety Zones or configuration to a server.
